Martin Couchoud
After obtaining a DUT in Civil Engineering at the IUT of Egletons, I decided to specialize in an environmentally friendly material: wood. I joined the Professional Bachelor’s Degree at ENSTIB, specializing in Wood Construction, through an apprenticeship at SMC2. There, I applied the knowledge and skills I acquired during my training. My personal qualities and skills were not fully utilized in a technician role, so I sought out careers that might suit me better. Drawn to the process department at SMC2, I chose to continue my studies at ENSTIB in the engineering program, still alternating at SMC2, with the goal of becoming a process engineer. During this year of professional bachelor’s at ENSTIB, I developed a professional project that encouraged me to continue my studies in the engineering program. Aware of the significant step this represents, I made every effort to achieve the best results. At the end of the year, I took refresher courses in chemistry and physics. I was supported and advised by the teachers, who helped me believe in my professional project and bring it to fruition.
