DEVELOPING PROJECTS
Through its laboratories and the work of its students, ENSTIB develops numerous projects throughout the year in collaboration with businesses.
PRD, Research and Development Project
In their third year, engineering students work in pairs on an industrial research project. This Research & Development Project allows them to familiarise themselves with technological research on industrially relevant topics, for research laboratories or directly for companies. The deadline for submitting a PRD project to ENSTIB is 15 June.
RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT
On the ENSTIB Campus Bois, laboratories and technical research centres offer support for all your projects.
The LERMAB, a multidisciplinary laboratory of the University of Lorraine recognised by INRA, conducts research on the recovery of wood and natural fibres in various scientific fields such as biology, chemistry, process engineering, materials, mechanics, civil engineering, and energy.
The Institut Hean Lamour, a CNRS and University of Lorraine laboratory, specialises in the science and engineering of materials and processes. Its broad range of expertise allows it to address materials from property studies to manufacturing processes.
The CRAN (Nancy Centre for Research in Automatics) develops research addressing the challenges of Industry 4.0 and the digital transition of businesses in the wood sector, such as quality imaging, distributed intelligence and optimisation for the control of production and logistics systems, and digital engineering for BIM and construction.
The CRITT Bois (Regional Innovation and Technology Transfer Centre for the Wood Industries) provides expertise and support to wood sector stakeholders in their technical and organisational developments, offering studies, tests, and applied research on wood material and construction.
CETELOR (Lorraine Textile Test Centre) – Technology Transfer Centre and Textile Metrology Laboratory, affiliated with the University of Lorraine, is dedicated to the research and development of flexible and composite materials made from natural or technical fibres. It is an innovation stakeholder in textiles from fibre to finished product (yarn, fabric, non-woven).
